THEY FOUND US TEE

It is inspired by a woman I met at a market recently! She was actually out one day digging in the ground as she works with the land for work. Anyways she was out digging and all of the sudden hundred of butterflies had come out of the ground. They covered the ground where they were. She was astonished and amazed as she had never seen anything like it. Later that day she went inside and turned on the tv only for the news story to first be announcing the remains of 215 children were found in a mass unmarked grave outside Kamloops Residential School. This number is one graveyard from one school. Since MAY 2021 the number has grown to 10,256+.

The butterflies just came flying out of the ground.

Canada for centuries has beaten down and attempted to strip its Indigenous peoples of their culture, their language and their land.

No more. NO MORE.

This shirt was created as a representation to honour every child that has ever been through or impacted by the residential school system

A portion of the proceeds from these shirts will go towards 2 Canadian Indigenous charities.

The Woodland Cultural Centre is the previous Residential School for the Mohawk People. It serves to preserve, promote and strengthen Indigenous language, culture, art and history; bringing the story of the Hodinohsho:ni people of the Eastern Woodlands to life through innovative exhibitions and programs.

Show your support, whether you are Indigenous or not. Now is your time to use your voice and the platforms you have to stand up for the injustice that our Indigenous peoples live through everyday.

As a Mohawk woman, my heart is so burdened for my people. Thank you, for helping me make in impact in a meaningful way.

Kids sizes fit true to size, but it is always best to size up so it lasts them longer.
